GET 023 MT. KILIMANJARO CLIMBING (Marangu route)
Situated south of the equator in Tanzania – at 19,340ft(5,895m) – Mt. Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain and one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights.
Climbing the mountain is through various routes with varying degrees of difficulty but the easiest and most popular is the Marangu route, which takes 7 days including 1 night at the base hotel before and after the climb.

Safari itinerary:
Day 1
Transfer from Arusha to your base hotel for climb briefing and overnight on bed/breakfast.
Day 2
Hike for 3 – 4hrs through rainforest to Mandara hut. FB-2700M
Day 3
Leave the tree-line hiking 5hrs to Horombo.FB-4700M
Day 4
Hike 6-7hrs across rugged landscape to Kibo hut. FB-4700M. (Option of extra night on the mountain).
Day 5
From Kibo to Gillmans point (5690m) and on toUhuru, summit. Descend back to Horombo (Total hiking time 12-15hrs). FB-5896M
Day 6
Final descent to base hotel for overnight, Bed and breakfast.
Day 7
After breakfast transfer back to Arusha.
