Ol Tukai Lodge
Located at the foot of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is one of the best spots in the world to watch elephant as well as Cheetah, gazelle, giraffe, Leopard and Lion. Bird life is prolific, too. Writers have described Ol Tukai and the surrounding Amboseli National Park ‘as a home for the Gods’. A place of rugged beauty, abundant water, lush grass and forest, set like an oasis in surrounding savannah scrub. Ol Tukai Lodge is a high-class tourist resort with 80 luxury twins rooms in cottage style, single-storey blocks made of wood, local stone and slate. Each room has fine views of either the wetlands or Kilimanjaro. There are two double rooms disabled guests and wheelchair ramps are provided. For ultimate luxury, there is a three-bed-roomed house with verandas and a spacious living room. The Lodge has a dining room, two bars, conference facilities and a splendid figure-of-eight outdoor swimming pool.
Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.
Nestled in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, hidden beneath a copse of giant acacia trees and beside a gently flowing natural spring lies Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. With Kilimanjaro’s 6,000-meter-high snow-capped peaks rising behind the lodge and presiding over the landscape, which boasts more big game than almost anywhere else in Africa, the setting is nothing short of magnificent. Inspired by local Masai architecture, the design of the lodge is in total harmony with the environment. Each guest room conveys a distinctive Masai Manyatta mood and is furnished with authentic African murals painted by a local artist. There are 96 beautifully appointed guest rooms. The lodge has its own swimming pool with water from a mountain spring. Other activities include game drives, sundowners, on observation hill, traditional fests and tribal dancing and visits to traditional manayattas of the Amboseli Maasai.
Tortilis Camp
Tortilis Camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, and is situated just outside the Park in one of Amboseli's few remaining areas of unspoilt woodland, with the majestic backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, snow-capped Kilimanjaro. Accommodation is in 17 Spacious tents with private en suite bathrooms,
9 with king-size beds , 8 with twin beds , 1 family room with two rooms.
Porini Camp
Porini Camp is located in the Selenkay Conservation Area, a 15,000 acre private game reserve within a vast tract of land owned by the Kisonko clan of the Maasai people and located near the northern boundary of Amboseli National Park.
The camp consists of six spacious tents, sited among shady Acacia trees, in a spot once favoured by big game hunters. The camp is small and exclusive, accommodating a maximum of 12 guests.
Ol Kanjau
Ol Kanjau is situated at the end of Africa’s largest hill slope, Mt Kilimanjaro. It is adjacent to Amboseli National park and is surrounded by a larger area of true African bush land wilderness owned by Kisongo Maasai pastoralists who benefit directly when one visits this unrivalled wild open space.
Ol Kanjau is a traditional safari style mobile tented camp kept as simple as possible so you can still listen to the quiet, smell air clean enough to eat and try to count a million stars. Six twin spacious and luxurious tents, with large comfortable beds, safari style bathroom, with bucket showers with hot water and gas lanterns to light your tent at night.
Amboseli Sopa
Located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, the
lodge is set in expansive and mature wooded gardens that face Africa’s highest mountain. Built within the area of 190 acres of Masai country, it is an ideal holiday base from which to enjoy numerous pursuits.
Spacious cottage style rooms with en suite bathrooms and verandas. Special groups can enjoy private lunches at our shaded, outdoor bar-b-cue or starlit dinners beside the swimming pool.
Kibo Safari Camp
Kibo Safari Camp is a luxury tented camp approximately 250 km drive from Nairobi. Managed by the pattersons, its built with natural material giving it a natural look. All tents are covered by a thatch roof under which is water-proof and have built in showers and toilets. An open terraced restaurant and bar under acacia trees overlooks Mt. Kilimanjaro. Being strategically built in the Amboseli National Park, you can comfortably watch elephants and other animals strolling and grazing close by. The camp is surrounded by an electric fence to keep the large animals out.
